There are plenty of coffee shops in the North Dallas area, so how do you know which ones to try? Is it simply by location or is it something more? For many coffee lovers, the coffee shop experience is just that, an experience. It’s more than just grabbing a cup of joe on the way to work. Here at Honeylu’s, we like to think our local coffee shops are unique compared to other coffee shops. We want to give you the most approachable coffee experience in the North Dallas area. Let us explain why Honeylu’s is a coffee shop you should try.
Approachable Coffee Experience
Honeylu’s makes locally brewed craft coffee. What that means is we approach the brewing process as a culinary art. We find that “sweet spot” during the roasting process. This precision process and art is designed to fully develop the sweetness of the coffee without burning the natural sugars in the beans. Think of the skill and care that we put into roasting and brewing in comparison to a James Beard award winning chef at a restaurant. Now, we understand that we are not the only ones to treat coffee beans with respect and turn coffee into an experience. However, what makes us different is we bring this high-quality artesian approach to creating coffee flavors and make it accessible and approachable to everyone. That means keeping prices reasonable, and never to ostracize or belittle those who may lack the culinary knowledge that we, and some our patrons, hold.
Unique Flavors and Drinks
We strive to create signature drinks and flavors that would hardly be found anywhere else. Unique flavors such as a sweet potato latte — which sounds odd at first but makes for a delicious drink. Our signature cold brew coffee is infused with nitrogen, creating a creamy and effervescent texture that enhances the natural sweetness and smoothness of the coffee. The result is a rich, bold, and creamy coffee that is sure to satisfy your caffeine cravings. We even have drinks for those looking for something besides coffee, like our Annie Palmer. The Annie Palmer is a refreshing blend of sweet and tangy strawberry lemonade, perfectly paired with a classic black iced tea.
Our Love for Animals
Our “fur children” are the center of our lives. The name Honeylu’s is named after one of our fur children. We had a Dachshund named Speedy for his whimsical and carefree attitude. As he got older and had health problems, we added Honeylu, which became his eyes and ears, comforting and taking care of him in his time of need. In honor of this, both of our locations are dog friendly. We wish to bring not only joy into the lives of those who come into our café but embody the spirit of Speedy and deliver exceptional coffee, food, and customer service. At our Prosper, TX location The stained concrete flooring works perfectly with being puppy friendly. We also keep a large bowl of water placed beneath the tree should any furry friends need to hydrate while their owners dine on lunch. We even have Puppuccinos and Strawberry Pupsicles on the menu. We have experienced firsthand positive impact animals have in our human lives; Honeylu’s coffee is dedicated to donating a portion of the coffee sale proceeds to help animals in shelters find their forever homes.
All About Community
Bigger retail coffee shops lack the personable community feel in our opinion. Each one of our baristas greets each person as they walk through the door, doing their best to make the customer feel at home. We give more personalized service to our customers, as we feel they are more than just a name on a cup. We also focus on having an atmosphere perfect to come in and either work while having coffee or catching up with old friends.
We realize there are lots of choices when it comes to getting your cup of coffee. That is why we strive to make Honeylu’s different and unique. We want you to have a genuine connection with the coffee and the community our coffee shops are in. We have two locations, one at 1170 N. Preston Rd Suite 130 Prosper, TX 75078 and the other is at 990 W. Van Alstyne Pkwy Van Alstyne, TX 75495. We think Honeylu’s Coffee Shops are a place to try and hope you do too!
